Event Description

The public is invited to the Fossil Fish Festival in honor of Knightia, the extinct fossil fish that has served as Wyoming's State Fossil for 30 years. Event includes learning how to prep a fossil fish, fossil fish relief activities, tours of UW Geological Museum and Wet Collections of the UW Museum of Vertebrates located in the Berry Center, presentations, face painting and raffles. Attendees will also have the opportunity to see fossils from the Wyoming State Geological Survey’s collection.
