Officials decided it was no longer safe to work beneath a cut slope that kept releasing gravel slides, and pulled workers off the job. Town officials say the money is needed to manage the slide and to build a buttress to create pressure at the base of the slide to slow it down.</p><p>The Council voted four-to-one to approve the funding.
