Hix</a> teaches in the Philosophy Department at the University of Wyoming.&nbsp; His most recent poetry collection is <em>As Much As, If Not More Than</em> (Etruscan Press, 2014); the poems recorded here are from his book <em>First Fire, Then Birds</em> (Etruscan Press, 2010). Hix has been recognized with an NEA Fellowship, the Grolier Prize, the T. S. Eliot Prize, and the Peregrine Smith Award.
