New governor plans major change

Laramie, WY – Governor Matt Mead says he intends to make a major announcement in Cheyenne about a program to streamline state government.
Mead was sworn in as governor on Monday. His office says he will announce his plans on Wednesday afternoon about how to streamline state government to provide better services.
Susan Anderson is spokeswoman for Mead. She says she couldn't provide any details about the announcement in advance.

Cheyenne, Wy – Federal officials are assessing the potential impacts of a 725-mile power line that would transmit electricity generated in Wyoming from mostly renewable sources to southern Nevada.
The U.S. Bureau of Land Management and the Western Area Power
Administration, in the Department of Energy, are also seeking
comments from the public and plan hearings in the states the line
would run through - Wyoming, Colorado, Utah and Nevada.
