New Wyoming U.S. Marshall confirmed

Washington D-C – Wyoming's former director of Homeland Security has been confirmed by the
U-S Senate as Wyoming's newest U-S Marshall. Joe Moore was confirmed by the Senate on Monday. Senators Mike Enzi and John Barrasso both praised Moore and called him the right man for the job. He was a federal law enforcement officer, before taking over Wyoming's office of Homeland Security in 2003.

JAC Co-chair Phil Nicholas talks about the need to save money

Laramie, Wy – Last week, the legislature's Joint Appropriations Committee met to consider Governor Freudenthal's budget. In the process the committee learned that the state revenue picture is much better than expected and that lawmakers currently have a reserve account of over a billion dollars. But that news makes the chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee want to urge caution. Phil Nicholas speaks with WPR's Bob Beck.
