After vote, foreign language requirement stands

Casper, Wyo. – On a tie vote, the legislature's education committee has decided not to support a bill that would get rid of a requirement to teach a foreign language in kindergarten through 2nd grade.

In Johnson County, Sand Creek Ranch dispute continues

Laramie, Wyo. – An attempt to reach a settlement in a two-and-a-half-year property tax dispute in Johnson County has failed. The case will now be settled in District Court. After dividing up his ranch into one-acre sections in an attempt to draw investors, Sand Creek Ranch owner John Jenkins saw his property tax bill go from $4 thousand to $120 thousand an acre.
