Cheyenne interfaith community to rally in support of Muslim Americans

Laramie, WY – The Cheyenne Interfaith Council is joining other members of the religious community in denouncing the derision, misinformation and outright bigotry being directed against America's Muslim community.

The council is made up of representatives of Cheyenne's Islamic, Jewish, Christian and LDS faiths. It is also planning a rally on Saturday, September 11th at the state capitol. This is in response to the church in Florida which had planned to burn Korans.

Fire west of Laramie mostly contained

Laramie, WY – The forest fire burning in the Medicine Bow National Forest is now 65 percent contained. The blaze which is now mostly smoldering has burned a total of 130 acres and no structures. Roads in the area are open, but there is a no unnecessary travel advisory because of all the equipment and crews working in the area. This is about 30 miles west of Laramie near Fox Park.
