2nd man sentenced to 60 years for Casper rape

Casper,Wy – Both men involved in the rape of a Casper woman last year who was targeted for the attack through a fraudulent Internet advertisement have been sentenced to serve 60
years to life in prison.
District Judge David Park sentenced 27-year-old Ty Oliver
McDowell, of Bar Nunn, on Tuesday. McDowell broke into the victim's
home and attacked her last December.
Park on Monday imposed an identical 60-years-to-life sentence on
the victim's former boyfriend, 28-year-old Jebidiah James Stipe of
Twentynine Palms, Calif.

Wildlife officials relocate a grizzly

Laramie, WY – Authorities have trapped and relocated a grizzly bear in northwestern Wyoming.
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department said Tuesday that an adult female grizzly was moved Saturday to the Boone Creek drainage in the Caribou Targhee National Forest. That's about 25 miles northwest of Moran.
The department says the bear was moved because it was a frequent visitor to the landfill in Clark.

Wyoming delegation praises court's gun ruling

Cheyenne, Wyo. – Wyoming's congressional delegation is praising the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that Americans have the right to own a gun for self-defense anywhere they live.

The court said Monday that the Second Amendment right "applies equally to the federal government and the states."

The ruling came in a lawsuit filed by gun rights proponents who challenged gun control laws in Chicago and its suburb of Oak Park, Ill.
