State lawmaker plans effort to care for unwanted horses.

Gillette, Wy – A Wyoming state lawmaker says she's part of a group planning a program to care for unwanted horses, but that some could be humanely killed as a last resort.
Republican state Rep. Sue Wallis of Recluse said Saturday the
nonprofit United Horsemen's Front would accept horses from
individuals or law-enforcement agencies.
Wallis says all horses will be checked by veterinarians. Those
that qualify would be rehabilitated.

Judge to hear Ayers case.

Casper, Wy – The question on whether William Ayers should be allowed to speak on the University of Wyoming campus will be debated in federal court today. U.S. District Judge William Downes is scheduled to hold a hearing in the case in Casper. The University of Wyoming says it should be able to bar 1960s Ayers from speaking on campus for safety reasons.
The university provided affidavits of death threats against
Ayers, school staff and alumni in court papers filed Saturday.
