Jackson, Wy – The president of a Jackson Hole think tank says he's running for the Democratic nomination to challenge U.S.Rep. Cynthia Lummis this November. Teton County resident David Wendt is the 65-year-old is president of the Jackson Hole Center for Global Affairs. The center's Web site says its flagship project is the U.S.-China Clean Energy Initiative to address carbon emissions from coal. Wendt says he wants to address Wyoming's "leadership gap" in Congress, and he attacked the delegation's lack of bipartisanship.
Cheyenne, WY – American Eagle Airlines will offer nonstop flights between Cheyenne and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport starting July 15.
The regional affiliate of American Airlines said Monday that the service will include two round-trip flights per day on 44-seat Embraer jets. Base rate for a one-way ticket is $135.
The Dallas-based airline expects the flights to attract business and leisure travelers. The airline also points out the flights will begin in time for Cheyenne Frontier Days, the city's big annual rodeo.
