Wyoming – Two State Senators who have a lot of experience watching the D-E-Q both as politicians and members of the oil and gas industry are Riverton Senator Eli Bebout and Casper Senator Kit Jennings. Senator Bebout admits to Bob Beck that he has always had mixed emotions about the DEQ.
Wyoming – Last year, Lori Schneider became the first person with multiple sclerosis to summit Mount Everest. Since her diagnosis, she's climbed the tallest peaks on all seven continents - the so-called Seven Summits - in addition to running several marathons. Schneider lives in Wisconsin. On Tuesday, March 2nd, she'll give a talk in Jackson about her experience with MS. By phone, she spoke with Addie Goss about how she first learned of her diagnosis. Wyoming – For almost a decade Wyoming was without a medium security prison. The previous facility was part of the state penitentiary in Rawlins, but it closed years ago due to structural problems. Now there is a new medium security prison operating. It sits in the rolling hills east of Torrington and has been housing inmates for about a month now. Wyoming Public Radio's Renny MacKay visited the prison has this report
Powell, WY – Some students and faculty at Northwest College in Powell are upset the college president sent a recruitment letter to area teens who are members of the Mormon church.
The letter from Paul Prestwich touted the opportunities the school offers to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Prestwich is a member of the LDS church, and he sent the letter to a list of high school students provided by the church.
