Anna Rader is the Online Manager and Production Assistant. She has a B.A. in Journalism with honors from the University of Wyoming and graduated in May of 2012. She started out as an intern for Wyoming Public Media in 2011 and during her time as an intern developed a new found passion for public radio. After being an intern for WPM, she became the Content Producer for Morning Music Host and Program Director Grady Kirkpatrick. She is now the Online Manager. She helps shape what you see on this website as well as social media outreach. She produces an online music series Single Shot Live, assists with programming, hosting, content production and many other tasks. In her spare time she enjoys being a cinephile, going to concerts, and has a passion for wanderlust.

Anna Rader

There Is No Mountain is a reference to a Zen koan, a lyric from a Donovan song, and an Americana/psych-pop duo known for its catchy off-kilter sonic adventures. The Portland, Oregon based band are married couple Kali Giaritta and Matt Harmon. African rhythms, jazz harmonies, classical arrangements, theatrical melodies, and psychedelic sounds are all a part of There Is No Mountain.

Based in Laramie, Alice Freeman provides unforgettable music on her pedal harp, traditional Celtic harp, carbon fiber Celtic harp or hammered dulcimer. Alice is certified as a Healing Musician, a Therapeutic Harp Practitioner and a Clinical Musician.  She maintains a private practice providing soothing harp music at bedside in several local health care facilities.

Hailing from the mountains and plains of Northern Wyoming, Luke Bell’s music is shaped by his lineage of ranchers, tobacco farmers and ministers. This young singer-songwriter naturally brings us a blend of the old time blues/country sound and contemporary lyricism about poverty, loss, hardship, and redemption.

Asheville based Americana band Underhill Rose kicks off our new web music series, Single Shot Live. Grab a cup of coffee (or your drink of choice) and listen to Underhill Rose and their heartfelt country tune, "Little House".

Engineers Shane Toven and Reid Fletcher spent last week on the road, servicing WPM transmitter sites around the state.

They stopped in Cody to upgrade some equipment at that area’s transmitter site and to give Arts and Culture Producer Micah Schweizer a ride back to Laramie.

StoryCorps Bi-Lingual Facilitator Anna Berlanga and Facilitator Callie Thuma, had a chance to take a much needed break during their busy citizen interview schedule. They were able to experience the excitement of a Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo on July 23rd thanks to sponsor CenturyLink.

The 9th Annual Big Horn Mountain Festival was held July 12, 13, and 14, at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Buffalo Wyoming. Wyoming Public Media's Morning Music hosts Grady Kirkpatrick and Paul Montoya traveled to the festival and enjoyed the summer sun and the many bands that played. Take a look at the many on-goings during StoryCorps Opening Day in Cheyenne on July 12. Everyone at Wyoming Public Media had a role to play in the StoryCorps launch and the event went off without a hitch. From the press that were invited, to the live interviews and the conversations held, there was never a dull moment.

Pinedale singer-songwriter Jared Rogerson has been influenced as a musician from 17 years of bronc’ riding in rodeos. He’s also explored thousands of miles in the remote Wyoming backcountry as a brucellosis biologist for the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. His new album, Dirt, was released April 17.

Wyoming native, Jeff Troxel, is a  guitarist, composer, and songwriter from Cody.  Jeff Troxel has released three albums, his newest Spirit of Our Time, was released in 2011. Troxel became the National Flatpicking Champion at the Walnut Valley Festival after winning state championships in both Wyoming and Utah.

Country, bluegrass and southern rock group the Teka Brock Band, formed in 2008 and are currently living in Sheridan. They are venturing on tour to promote their newest album 307. Anna Rader produced this profile.

Roots-rock band Patti Fiasco is based in Ft. Collins but members are from towns across Wyoming. Fronted by Alysia Kraft from Encampment, they combine classic country, soul, and rock 'n' roll. Jackson Hole based Chanman Roots Band, fronted by Peter “Chanman” Chandler, are driven by strong rhythms, horns and a positive vibe. The nine members from the Chanman Roots Band come from across the country and  combine reggae, rock, jazz, and more to their music. The band recorded and released its first CD New Uprising in 2011. Wyoming and Ten Sleep based musician, Jalan Crossland has been playing music, touring both as a solo artist and with the Jalan Crossland band, for more than 20 years. He has recently released a new solo album, Portrait of a Fish. Anna Rader produced this profile.
