Casper, WY – Wyoming Army National Guard soldiers are coming home after spending a year in Iraq and Kuwait where they conducted security and escort missions.
The 400 soldiers are expected to arrive Thursday afternoon in three groups at the Casper Natrona County Airport's Nerd Hangar. The soldiers are arriving at 2 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 2:50 p.m.
The military says there will be a brief ceremony after the last aircraft arrives.
The arriving soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 300th Field Artillery, 115th Fires Brigade left Wyoming in April 2009. The military says they conducted more than 15,500 convoy security and personnel security missions and drove more than 3.2 million miles.
