All Sides Unhappy With Subdivision Approval
Cody, WY – Opponents of a planned subdivision west of Cody are preparing to appeal the project's county approval. Developers of the Copperleaf Subdivision are also unhappy with the conditions of the approval, and they might be appealing as well. Northfork Communities Incorporated has plans to build a 131-home development covering over 550 acres along the North Fork of the Shoshone River. The Park County Commission approved the plans of earlier this month, but with some caveats. The subdivision cannot have gates or townhouses, and its roads must be paved and open to the public. The developers don't like those requirements. Meanwhile, Hans Johnson, president of a group opposing the development, says the plan for the subdivision septic system is faulty. He says the group will challenge the development in court.
