State officials say another case of Brucellosis has been confirmed among cattle in the Jackson area. The 13-year-old cow was first identified in June and tests confirmed Brucellosis (Thursday). Governor Dave Freudenthal says the results deal a further setback to Wyoming's livestock producers. For Wyoming to regain Brucellosis free status there needs to be a year without a confirmed infection. This finding restarts the one-year provision. Teton County Farm Bureau President Brad Mead says the state has been taking a proactive approach at dealing with Brucellosis, but it shows there is still work to do.
