Barrasso's Replacement Takes A Seat

Cheyenne, WY – Bill Landen has been sworn in as the
newest member of the Wyoming State Senate.
The 51-year-old Landen took the oath of office yesterday
(Wednesday).
Landen fills seat previously held by John Barrasso, who was
appointed to the U-S Senate last month following the death of
Senator Craig Thomas.
Landen is a Republican. He's vice president for student services
and athletics director at Casper College.
Wyoming Supreme Court Justice William Hill administered the oath
of office to Landen.
Senate President John Schiffer says that Landen will serve on
the Senate Transportation, Highways and Military Affairs Committee;
the Senate Labor, Health and Social Services Committee, the Select
Technology Committee and the Department of Health Advisory
Committee.
