Big, early snow has Wyo. ski resorts opening
CHEYENNE, wyo – The big, early snowfall has Wyoming ski resort opening slopes in record time this year.
Grand Targhee Ski Resort in Teton County opened last Saturday and has stayed open during the week.
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort announced Tuesday that for the first time since it opened in 1966 that it will have all its lifts and runs open for its first day of skiing this Saturday.
Both resorts report more than 100 inches of snowfall already with more coming down by the hour.
Jackson's Snow King is scheduled to open Dec. 10 but is considering opening sooner.
Other Wyoming ski resorts are taking advantage of the early, plentiful snow, too.
All but Hogadon in Casper will be opening this weekend or next week.
