Bill Clinton Visits Wyoming

Laramie, WY – Former president Bill Clinton told a standing-room only crowd in Rock Springs that there's no hurry to resolve the close race between his wife and Illinois Senator Barack Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Clinton stumped for New York Senator Hillary Clinton on Thursday in front of more than one thousand people in Sweetwater County, the only county in Wyoming with more registered Democrats than Republicans.

The former president said, "Democracy will have it's say," and pointed out that he did NOT clinch the Democratic nomination until June when he first ran for president in 1992.

Bill Clinton also spoke Thursday in Riverton, accompanied by daughter Chelsea Clinton, and is due to speak at the University of Wyoming in Laramie Thursday evening.
