Bill plans to address Mine collapsing project

Rock Springs, Wy – A state lawmaker from Rock Springs plans to draft new legislation to compensate residents whose homes were damaged by a controversial mine collapsing project in 2007.
Democratic Rep. Bernadine Craft says she intends to draft a
House bill that would amend the state AML guidelines so that money
can be used to help the homeowners repair their homes.
An attempt to address the issue in last year's session didn't
succeed.
The home were damaged when huge weights were used to try to
collapse underground mine voids in Rock Springs.
The project was halted after nearby homeowners began to complain
about damage to their homes.
