Rock Springs, Wyo. – An upcoming U.S. Bureau of Land Management meeting will focus on the use of helicopters and vehicles to round up wild horses.
The meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. Monday at the BLM's Rock Springs Field Office. The BLM is looking for the public's thoughts about using helicopters and motorized vehicles to manage wild horses in the coming year.
The BLM says it commonly uses helicopters and airplanes to count wild horse populations and survey horse habitat. The BLM uses tractor-trailers and pickup trucks to move wild horses to adoption and holding facilities.
