BLM Seeks Members for Pinedale Natural Gas Working Group

Pinedale, WY – The U-S Bureau of Land Management is seeking nominations for people to serve on a working group that guides development of natural gas in the Pinedale Anticline.
Matt Anderson of the B-L-M's Pinedale Field Office said the agency is seeking nominations for seven openings on the nine-member board.
The B-L-M created the working group in 2002 to direct an "adaptive management" process that's supposed to respond to changes in oil and gas development in the Pinedale area as
development is occurring.
Federal officials have approved drilling of more than 900 new natural gas wells over the next 10 to 15 years.
The working group oversees smaller groups that focus on issues such as development's effect on water, air and wildlife as well as socio-economic issues.
