BLM taking comments on Wyo.-to-Utah power lines
Cheyenne, Wyo. – The U.S. Bureau of Land Management says it's now accepting public comments on plans for a 400-mile-long power line project between Wyoming and Utah.
The power lines proposed by Rocky Mountain Power might also cross northwestern Colorado. They would begin near Medicine Bow in south-central Wyoming and end near Mona in central Utah.
The BLM says it will use comments submitted over the 90-day public comment period to help write an environmental impact statement for the project.
Meanwhile, the BLM plans to hold a dozen open house meetings in Wyoming, Colorado and Utah to give people a chance to review the power line proposal.
The meetings will take place between May 10 and June 2.
