Breathalyzer Bill Moves in House

Cheyenne, WY –
The Wyoming House is debating the only remaining bill addressing driving under the influence. The bill would put a breathalyzer inside a vehicle and a driver would only be able to start a vehicle if they were essentially alcohol free. It also provides data to a probation officer to see how often someone tried to drive with alcohol in their system. Worland Democrat Debbie Hammons says they are trying to use education instead of punishment.
The bill does enhance penalties for those with multiple D-U-I convictions and for those with high blood alcohol levels. All other DUI bills have died.
