Brucellosis Eradication Could Be Costly

Lander, WY – The Wyoming Game and Fish Department figures to play a large role in many of the recommendations of the Governor's Brucellosis Task Force. But brucellosis efforts will not likely be cheap and the agency already is dealing with shrinking revenues. Game and Fish Assistant Chief Fiscal Officer Kathy Frank says the agency has had to do more with less in the past few years and the budget crunch has forced them to put off activities they need to fund. Frank says if the task force recommens an expansion of Game and Fish brucellosis efforts, the funding to pay for it also will need to be found.
