Business Council approves money for community projects

Laramie, WY – The Wyoming Business Council is recommending grant funding for some major business projects in the state. The council approved one-point five million dollars for a data center that is scheduled to come to Laramie County. Green House Data Center Director Shawn Mills says his facility will create 24 jobs and could expand a brand new industry for Wyoming to "allow a lot of companies from around the country to recognized that having data centers in Wyoming is a real option for them and we are real excited about the growth opportunities that are coming."
Among other things, the Business Council also approved two and a half million dollars in Business Ready funding for a high tech business park and almost a million dollars for a high tech business incubator. Both of those facilities would be located in Sheridan. The recommendations now go to the State Loan and Investment board for final approval.
