A democrat hoping to get elected to the U-S Senate says finding ways to reform the health care system should not include universal coverage. Gillette Attorney Nick Carter favors a non partisan study in order to find ways to provide health insurance and to lower health care costs. But Carter says it must be done in conjunction with our current system. " We have a private health care system in the United States and you just can't scrap that. We have too many people employed. The idea of just adopting a single payer system is not going to work in the United States since we have an institution of private health care." But Carter says a solution is necessary. He says health care costs are especially tough in Wyoming where small business people cannot afford to get coverage.
