Charlie Daniels Joins Cheyenne Man's Campaign
Laramie, Wy – An anti bullying campaign started in Cheyenne now has a big name spokesperson. Country singer Charlie Daniels is lending his support to the program that seeks to reduce bullying in schools and help victims of bullying cope without resorting to violence.
The National Association of School Psychologists reports that some 160-thousand students stay home from school every day due to the fear of being bullied.
The founder of Bullying Hurts is Marvin Nash, of Cheyenne.
The program stresses support, attention and education in dealing with bullying. It teaches high school students to mentor to elementary students about bullying.
Nash is finishing a new music video and public service announcement on the program. The video includes scenes of Daniels comforting a boy and girl who were bullied.
