Laramie, WY – The Vice President spoke at Laramie High School on Saturday in support of Wyoming Republican candidates. His tone was reflective. It is likely to be one of his last speeches in Wyoming as an elected official: "And I want you know that of all the privileges I've had serving as an elected official the first will always carry special significance. When you're a member of the House of Representatives, the Speaker calls on you not by your name, but according to your state. And for better than a decade I proudly answered to the title of the gentleman from Wyoming."
Mr. Cheney was first elected as Wyoming's representative in the House in 1978 and served until 1989. He joked that the warm welcome in Laramie was almost enough to make him want to run for office again. Almost.
