Cheyenne project is dead

Cheyenne, Wy – Plans to rejuvenate a block in downtown Cheyenne by renovating a long-vacant building and constructing a skywalk and hotel are dead.
The Marriott extended stay hotel would have been built on a lot
where a building burned down in an arson attack more than four
years ago. Developer Capital Management has backed away from the
project.
City officials now are looking at putting a small park in the
space.
Meanwhile, the owners of the Hynds Building say they are still
seeking financing to refurbish the building but they're open to the
possibility of selling the building.
Mayor Rick Kaysen says he's still open to building a skywalk
connecting the block to a parking garage, but money dedicated to
that project will be reallocated.
