Cheyenne Woman Gets National Honor

Cheyenne, Wy – A single mother who once had her kids taken from her has been named this year's National Woman of Triumph award winner. The award honors those who have overcome significant barriers to employment. Cheyenne's Carla Young was in prison three years ago and when she got out Young took a job that paid six dollars and 50-cents an hour. After getting training in Wyoming's Climb program Young has since gotten a job that has more then doubled her salary. She says the best thing is that she provides for her kids in new ways.
Young does not see herself as anyone special. She adds that she is just now doing what she should have been doing all along. Young gets her award in Washington D-C in April.
