Cheyenne worst for kids' fitness

Cheyenne, WY – The fitness magazine Men's Health has
ranked Cheyenne worst in the nation for kids' fitness.
The magazine based that finding in part on the fitness of adults
in Cheyenne, including how often adults exercise, how much fast
food they eat and how many are overweight. Men's Health also looked
at fast-food restaurants per capita and the number of sports camps
per child.
Tracie Peterson, an exercise physiologist at Cheyenne Regional
Medical Center, says Cheyenne's low ranking is "scary."
Men's Health ranked the best and worst cities for children's
fitness in its October issue.
No other Wyoming city appeared in the rankings, which listed the
Texas cities of Lubbock and Arlington second- and third-worst for
children's fitness. Seattle, New York and Cincinnati ranked best
for children's fitness.
