Child Care Bill Heads to State Senate for Debate

Cheyenne, WY – The Coalition for Wyoming Children says 23 thousand kids in the state are in child care. The co chair of the coalition, Sue Lawrence, says they want to make sure child care in Wyoming is MORE than safe. She says the bill moving through the state legislature, called Quality Child Care is a start. It focuses on training providers and reimbursing some lower income families. But, Lawrence says what is really needed is some money to support quality child care. The state Senate will start debate on the child care bill on Monday.
