Powell, Wy – The number of passenger boardings at
Yellowstone Regional Airport in November was down by about 3
percent compared to the same month in 2006.
United Airlines boardings at the Cody airport were down by about
18 percent. But Delta Airlines boardings helped offset that
decrease with an increase of 9 percent.
Hank Coe, a member of the Cody/Yellowstone Air Service
Organization, said he has compared flights out of Cody with flights
out of Billings, Mont. Coe said flights out of Cody are
significantly more expensive.
Coe said fares at Yellowstone Regional need to come down or
people are going to choose to drive to Billings to catch flights.
