Committee votes to seat Rep. Greene after challenge

Cheyenne, WY – State Rep. Matt Greene says a special
House committee that voted 6-3 Thursday to reject an effort to oust
him "came to the correct conclusion."
The Republican's November rival, former Democratic state Rep.
Seth Carson, had claimed Greene wasn't qualified to represent his
district, which includes downtown Laramie, because he didn't live
there for a full year before the election.
Greene had filed for election wile serving with the military in
Afghanistan.
The committee will recommend that the full House reject Carson's
complaint. Greene says he's confident the full House will uphold
his election.
Carson says he's grateful the committee took the time to
consider his complaint.
