Consumer Advocate Says Telecom Reform Has Worked

Cheyenne, Wy – The telecommunications industry has undergone a lot of change since the first telecommunication bill passed in 1996. Wyoming Consumer Advocate Bryce Freeman says much of it is good news, especially since there does appear to be more competition and services. However, he notes that the cost for those services is not cheap.
Freeman says competition should actually bring prices down. He believes the recently passed Wyoming telecommunications law will help bring more services at an affordable cost to consumers. But Freeman says time will tell.
