Laramie, Wy – Union Pacific is looking to hire 105 people in this state. And this is the third year in a row that the rail company has done a lot of hiring nationally.
Union Pacific spokesperson, Mark Davis, says this year they will hire 4500 people across the country. He says U-P needs employees because of an increase in business and a large amount of workers retiring. And Davis says this hiring spurt should definitely continue for a couple more years because the amount of volume on the rail lines continues to grow.
Davis says in Wyoming they are also transporting a lot of coal from the Powder River Basin. He says the company is looking for train engineers and the positions will pay between 30 and 50 thousand dollars.
