Laramie, WY – Cooler temperatures and higher humidity is helping firefighters battling a wildfire about 25 miles north of Pinedale.
A federal firefighting crew today took over the fight against the Salt Lick Fire in the Bridger-Teton National Forest.
The fire was first reported on Wednesday. It has burned about two-thousand acres of heavy timber in the South Gypsum Creek area.
Meantime, firefighters are mopping up after a timely rain storm doused a wildfire that had prompted the evacuation of at least 200 people from summer homes and campgrounds near Pinedale.
