Washington, DC – A political marketing company will make visits to three Wyoming towns later this month to further consider opening a call center. CAPTEL is based in Washington, DC and works on political fundraising, survey research, and direct mail campaigns. CAPTEL Vice President Amy Biederman says the company has narrowed its sights on Cheyenne, Gillette, and Thermopolis. Biederman says Wyoming appeals to CAPTEL because of its people and business-friendly climate. She also says the company was impressed with how Cheyenne, Thermopolis, and Gillette have invested in their telecommunications infrastructure. CAPTEL is looking to get a sense of the potential workforce in each town. Biederman says the company is still in the preliminary stages of this process and isn't even sure how many jobs would be created. She says that depends on the response they get from possible workers. Hiring by the end of this year is possible, if CAPTEL decides it is interested.
