Democratic Senate hopeful calls for less spending

Laramie, Wyo – U-S Senate candidate Nick Carter calls the country's fiscal policy a disaster, and he says it's no surprise that the economy is in dire straights.

Carter, a Gillette Democrat, says if congress wants to improve the economy, they need to spend less.

Carter says the U-S tax breaks have mostly benefited the wall street crowd and has done little to help average Americans.

Carter is facing fellow Democrat Keith Goodenough in the Democratic primary. The winner faces Senator John Barrasso in November.
