Democrats Looking to Wyoming for Leaders

Laramie, Wy – Two of the leaders of the Wyoming Democratic Party have been elected to select positions in branches of the National Democratic Party. One is the executive director of the state party Kyle DeBeer. The other is Chairman Mike Gierau.
DeBeer says it is possible this could mean more financial support for Democratic candidates running for Congress in Wyoming.
In the past Democrats in Wyoming have noted a lack of interest in their races from the national party.
DeBeer says the election of two Wyomingites is a sign that Democrats are looking to the West for more leadership.
DeBeer says the success of Ken Salazar in Colorado, Brian Schweitzer in Montana and New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson is also drawing attention to Democrats in this region.
