Democrats scramble to find bigger caucus sites

Laramie, Wyo. – Democrats in at least seven Wyoming counties have scrambled to find larger venues for their presidential caucuses on March 8th.

The party's spokesman, Bill Luckett, says the state saw a surge of new voters before the registration deadline on February 22nd.

"What we saw in the three days over the last week was over 13-hundred registrations for the Democratic party," Lucketts says. "You have to assume that most of those people are doing this because they know we have a big event coming up and you have to be a registered Democrat to participate."

Luckett says the party expects a record number of caucus-goers to voice their choice for president on March 8th.

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have each opened several offices in Wyoming.
