Devil's Tower, Wy – Vehicle entrance fees will increase from eight to ten dollars at Devils Tower National Monument next year.
Fees for bicycles, pedestrians and motorcycles will also jump from three to five dollars starting January First.
Annual and lifetime pass rates, along with camping and commercial tour fees, will NOT change.
The National Park Service is recommending the increased fees to be consistent with its other historic sites and to raise more money for backlogged maintenance and resource protection projects.
Devils Tower is a 12-hundred-foot high monolith of exposed volcanic rock in northeast Wyoming. It is the country's first national monument, drawing at least 400 thousand visitors each year.
