Dining Out Helps The Poor
Casper, Wy – Tuesday dozens of restaurants across Wyoming will donate a portion of the day's profits to combat hunger in the state. Director of Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies, Diane DeLozier, says Wyoming's strong economy can hide the fact that 53-thousand people here live in poverty and pressures on them are growing with rising food and gas prices. She says the proceeds from tomorrow's event will go to stocking about 2-hundred food banks and after-school programs across the state, so she urges people to dine out.
Participating restaurants are in towns ranging from Cheyenne to Thermopolis to Bondurant. A list is at food-Bank-Rockies-Dot-Org.
