DM&E Pres. Says Money Could Come by End of Year

Laramie, WY – The president of the Dakota, Minnesota and Eastern Railroad says it could secure private financing by the end of the year for expansion of the rail line to coal fields in Wyoming.

Kevin Schieffer says federal approval of the project helped line up customers for the coal, and that makes it easier to get investors.

DM&E was turned down earlier this year for a two-point-three-billion-dollar loan.
