Casper, WY – A driver accused of plowing into a pedestrian during a police chase is being held on several charges in Casper. The driver was identified as 38-year-old
Scott Coleman of Casper. Officials say he's being held on charges
of driving while under the influence, vehicular homicide and felony
property destruction. The pedestrian, an 18-year-old from Casper, died of his injuries after being hit on Tuesday while standing near an intersection
downtown. Police say the driver reached speeds of up to 100 miles per hour
in his pickup before hitting a telephone pole and a fire hydrant
and then the teen.
