Earthquake hits Converse County

Douglas, Wy – A small earthquake rumbled in southeast Converse County but caused no damage.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake had a magnitude of 3.4
and was centered in a sparsely populated area about 10 miles
northeast of Douglas. It occurred shortly before 6:15 Monday
morning.
Nancy Meyer of the Converse County Sheriff's Office says she was
eating breakfast at her home on the east side of Douglas when she
heard a rumble and saw mirrors in home move slightly.
She called the sheriff's office where the dispatcher speculated
it might be a train.
Meyer says the office received no other calls about the
earthquake.
