Laramie, WY – Sheridan County officials say searchers have recovered the body of an 84-year-old man six days after he went missing from a local hospital.
Henry Jackson was last seen on Tuesday when he was dropped off at Sheridan Memorial Hospital, where he was supposed to pick up his car and go home.
Family members say Jackson had Alzheimer's.
Searchers with a dog team found Jackson's body Sunday afternoon about one-and-a-half miles from where his car was discovered last week.
He says hypothermia is being investigated as the probable cause of death.
Jackson's car had been found stuck in the mud on County Road 98, northwest of Sheridan. A storm with blizzard conditions hit the area on Thursday, during the time Jackson was missing.
