EPA Administrator visits Wyoming wind farm

Cheyenne, WY – The Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency says the wind industry can bring clean energy to the country and help the economy. Lisa Jackson visited the Happy Jack wind farm outside of Cheyenne and says Americans are hungry for new sources of energy, and green energy has benefits. "Americans are certainly hungry for the jobs," she said, "all of them that come with clean energy. That does not mean we rush past environmental concerns but we certainly want to make sure that we use common sense and are sensible about it."

Jackson came to Wyoming at the request of the Governor who wanted her to see the state's energy industry in person. She will be touring a coal mine and gas fields today.
