Evanston Victims Identified

Evanston, Wy – Authorities in Evanston have identified
the two firefighters who were killed battling a residential blaze
yesterday (Monday) afternoon.
The victims were 23-year-old Jacob Cook -- who had been married
only a few weeks -- and 39-year-old Robert Henderson, a married
father of three. Both were Evanston residents.
They died from injuries suffered in an explosion after they went
into a burning town home to attempt a rescue of children reportedly
trapped inside.
As it turned out, there was nobody inside the building.
A third firefighter, 39-year-old Abe Wheeler, was listed in
stable condition at L-D-S Hospital in Salt Lake City with burns. He
is expected to make a full recovery.
Two other firefighters were treated and released from the
Evanston hospital yesterday.
The investigation into the cause of the fire and explosion is
continuing.
