Fire Burns In Medicine Bow National Forest

Laramie, Wy – Just as firefighters contained a fire at the
Wyoming National Guard's Camp Guernsey, a lightning-ignited
wildfire in Albany County grew to 450 acres today (Monday).
The Isabelle Fire in southwest Albany County was burning in
conifer on national forest and private land about a mile south of
Lake Owen, which is between the small communities of Albany and
Foxpark.
Two air tankers, three engines, a dozer and a hand crew were
called in to fight the fire. More firefighters have been ordered.
The fire at Camp Guernsey burned more than 14-thousand acres
before it was fully contained. The fire was started June 13 when
troops fired tracer ammunition during a live-fire training
exercise.
