Firefighters Make Progress on Thorne Divide Fire

Cheyenne, WY – Firefighters made progress Sunday
in their effort to contain a complex of fires southwest of Devils Tower.
Despite high temperatures and low humidity, firefighters were able to put containment lines around 75 percent of the fires, which have burned just under 15-thousand acres -- or about 23 square
miles -- in northeastern Wyoming.
Nearly 500 people are involved in battling the fire in northeast Wyoming's grass-and-pine country.
The fires are located about five miles southwest of Devils Tower.
